AVS changes to Value Methodology Associate (VMA)
The SAVE International Certification Board is pleased to announce the new entry-level certification to be offered – the Value Methodology Associate (VMA). As of June 3, 2016 the Associate Value Specialist (AVS) will no longer be offered as the entry-level certification. At this time, the VMA exam is the same as the previous AVS exam and any applicants’ exam received after June 4, 2016 will receive the new VMA certification (if they pass). As of June 3, 2016, absolutely no more AVS will be granted.
The new VMA certification will not require recertification it will require an annual fee of $50 for SAVE members, or INVEST members, in addition to a continuing education requirement of 8 hours bi-annually (starting in June 2017). The continuing education requirement represents the beginning of a new focus on continuous education for all SAVE International certifications.
